Shopify & Apps Status
Monitors the live operational status of Shopify and selected third-party apps. Many storefront incidents are caused by external dependencies failing silently — this screen catches them early.
Add services to monitor
- Go to Shopify & Apps Status.
- Click Add to select from common apps or add custom service endpoints.
- At minimum, add: payment gateway, shipping integration, and any loyalty or subscription service critical to the store.
- Configure alerts in Settings > Notification Channels so the team is notified immediately if a dependency goes down.
Review status
The screen shows the real-time health of every monitored service:
- Shopify platform status — live operational state of Shopify itself.
- Third-party app status — current health of each monitored integration.
Check this screen whenever a client reports unexpected behaviour — a third-party outage is often the root cause.
Manage monitored services
- Add new services when the store installs new apps.
- Remove services when apps are no longer in use — keeps the monitoring list clean and relevant.
- Periodically review the list against the store's actual tech stack.
During onboarding, work through the client's full tech stack and add every relevant dependency.
Troubleshooting
An app shows "degraded" but the store seems fine
- Some degradations affect only specific regions or features of the app. Check the app's own status page for more detail. The alert is still valuable as an early warning.
A custom endpoint is not being monitored
- Verify the URL is correct and publicly accessible. Custom endpoints must return a valid HTTP response to be monitored.
